The Nigerian Library Association (NLA) has reached a major milestone with the official launch of its 2026 National Conference Registration Portal. The unveiling was announced to members during the NLA Council Meeting in Minna by the 23rd National Executive, marking a decisive shift to a fully digital and streamlined conference registration process.
Leading by example, the National President, Dr. Lawal Umar, FNLA became the first person to complete a successful registration on the platform, with his conference badge instantly generated. During a live demonstration anchored by the National PRO, Sylvester I. Ebhonu, members were shown how the portal enables automated badge and certificate generation, access to the conference programme and schedule, and a smoother on-site experience by reducing queues for kits and materials. The platform reflects global best practices and sets a new standard for NLA conferences.
